Now that you've installed twine for Slack into your workspace, here are the steps to setup your first twine conversations.

  1. You can quickly setup a twine room with one click in any public Slack channel in your workspace, by typing "/twine" into the text box and clicking "Send"

  2. Once you click the "Send" icon, you, as the host of the twine will receive this message from twine for Slack.

  3. Click "post the link" and the twine room will be automatically created. Guests will then be notified via a Slack notification and they can join by clicking "I'm ready".

  4. The twine room is automatically facilitate a series of 5 minute, one-on-one, conversations and the entire twine is set for 45 minutes. Guests can join for as few or as many conversations as they'd like during that time.

  5. From there, the twine just runs itself! Guests can join directly using their Slack sign-in, no need to reauthenticate. It's that's simple. There's nothing else for you to do.

  6. Here is a short demo video that shows how to initiate a twine in Slack and what your guests will experience.

PRO TIP: To help with adoption of twine for Slack, we'd recommend you establish a set time for the first twine you run and let your teammates know beforehand. This way, people know to expect it and then run a twine at the same time for the next few weeks until your team is accustomed to using it.
