twine for Slack is a seamless way to enable serendipitous connection amongst remote and distributed teams. With one click, any member of your Slack community can initiate a twine virtual water cooler experience.

How to Install twine for Slack

In order to install twine for Slack into your Slack workspace, follow these steps:

  1. Sign into slack.com with the email address associated with the workspace where you'd like to install the app.

  2. Once you're logged in, select the workspace where you will be installing the app by clicking on it in the list of Slack workspaces.

  3. Once logged in, find twine for Slack in the marketplace listing here. You'll know that you are about to install the app in the right workspace because you'll see the workspace name in the URL:

    https://yourworkspacename.slack.com/apps/A01HHRZUEEL-twine

  4. Click "Add to Slack"

  5. You will be asked to select a channel to install twine to, but don't worry, you will be able to use twine in all of your Slack channels

  6. If your Slack workspace administrator has required that apps be pre-approved before they're able to be installed, you will be asked to submit a request to install. This request will be sent automatically to your workspace administrator or your App Manager.

  7. If your Slack workspace administrator has not required that apps be pre-approved, the app will install in your workspace, you'll get a notification and you'll see our you can start connecting with your team.
